SOMA is pleased to announce that will host the next Esperienza Center Demo Day on June 10, 2026, in Carmignano di Brenta near Padua, Italy. The event will showcase the latest innovations in sustainable flexographic printing and offer visitors a unique opportunity to experience SOMA technologies live in real production conditions.

This year’s Demo Day will focus on water-based printing and coating on plastic substrates using the SOMA Optima² flexographic press combined with the SOMA Intelligent Printing Unit (IPU) technology. Visitors will also discover advanced solutions for Color and Anilox Management that dramatically improve efficiency and reduce press make-ready time.

The program will feature expert presentations from industry partners and technology specialists covering topics such as combined printing and coating efficiency, PPWR-compliant packaging solutions, modern flexo pre-press workflows, web inspection systems, and the latest trends in print process automation and management.

Live demonstrations throughout the day will include automated plate mounting, intelligent register and impression setup powered by the IRIS system, as well as innovative SOMA Anilox Management with integrated Anilox Cleaner. Since anilox condition is critical to achieving the right color target, the new RFID-based system provides operators with full visibility into anilox condition, cleanliness, run length, and cell volume. The system ensures that the correct and properly cleaned anilox is always used for every job, resulting in reduced waste, fewer operator errors, faster setup, and outstanding print quality.

Further innovations in color standardization and process optimization will be presented during the upcoming Color Mind Demo Day, taking place on June 24, 2026, at SOMA headquarters in Lanškroun, Czech Republic. The event will focus on the Color Mind project, developed together with Aura, a global packaging sustainability consultancy pioneering packaging strategies, and forming a key part of the SOMA Color Intelligence ecosystem for ultimate color control on press. The solution combines on-press color correction with advanced Anilox Management, providing full visibility into anilox condition and enabling reduced waste, faster setup times, consistent color performance, maximum efficiency, and perfect color in every print.

SOMA Esperienza Center, opened in 2025, serves as a European hub for collaboration, training, and development of sustainable flexographic printing solutions. Established as part of SOMA Italia’s expansion, the center supports customers from across Europe with live demonstrations, technical training, and joint application development.
