De Rossi Vittoriano Srl has recently updated its cutting group, introducing to converters market the new 2020 longitudinal cutting system, which is characterized, compared to the existing model, by some additional elements such as the millimeter bar, thanks to which you can immediately notice the distance between the blades, deciding intuitively the width of the cut and the precision regulator that guarantees the lateral movement of all the blade-holders simultaneously with the maximum precision. Furthermore, thanks to a special anchorage system to the side part of the machine, the installation is considerably simplified. Normally a few photos and some measures are enough to provide the best possible configuration for customer’s needs, allowing them to perform the installation, thanks and above all to simple devices to be placed in the machine and with some simple alignment adjustments. The longitudinal group is self-moving and extremely flexible so that it can be installed on printing machines, even digital or control tables and other rotary machines, guaranteeing the possibility of carrying out different types of cutting: the complete cut, the half cut (tear opening) and the pre-cut. The construction of this new system, entirely carried out at the headquarters in Paderno Dugnano (MI), is entrusted to the technical experts working at De Rossi Vittoriano Srl, who use only top-quality materials for the maximum duration of blades and counter-roller.

“The new 2020 longitudinal cutting group is more precise and resistant than its predecessor; we provide an accurate consulting service for choice of blades and group configuration, in fact you can use circular blades with different penetration angles and with different surface treatments or razor blades. Like the predecessor, 2020 has micrometric adjustments of blade holder slides with anti-breakage systems of blades and can work on many special materials, including the latest generation recyclable materials for printing. Carrying out the half cut on the side siliconized part, which is rewound or conveyed together with the scrap, the latter will be reinforced and will tend not to break, increasing the production speed. In addition, time losses and volumes of material to be disposed can be reduced, given that scraps are no longer to be managed separately, on the control table”, says Fabio Aimi, marketing manager at De Rossi Vittoriano Srl. The cutting system is also used to cut the material into smaller webs; there are also various options that can be applied based on the need, for example “a dedicated motor to avoid generating voltage or tension on the material and an automatic cross register system for extreme precision in the width of the cut. Over the years we have also developed different techniques for optimal rewinding of the most different materials, “concludes Fabio.
