At the recent edition of IPACK-IMA, Grifal Technologies, brand of the Grifal Group, confirmed its commitment to increasingly efficient and responsible packaging. We discuss this with Giuliano Martinelli, Executive President of Grifal Technologies
With its usual determination and forward-looking industrial vision, Grifal Technologies took part in IPACK-IMA 2025, one of the leading international trade fairs for the packaging and processing industry. For the company, this edition represented a strategic opportunity to reaffirm, in front of a qualified and attentive audience, the value of an approach to packaging focused on environmental sustainability, without compromising on efficiency, innovation, and application flexibility.
The highlight of the exhibition was the new Cut&Code CC 401 GT, an automatic bench cutter designed to process high-performance materials developed by the group, such as cArtù®, cushionPaper and the latest tissuePack, made from natural fibers. This is a concrete demonstration of how technology can be put at the service of a new idea of packaging: smart, environmentally friendly, and capable of meeting the needs of modern logistics and e-commerce without losing sight of its environmental impact.
But IPACK-IMA was not just a product showcase: for Grifal, it was also a privileged dialogue opportunity with the market, customers, partners, and stakeholders. “We believe in continuous, transparent, and proactive dialogue”, explains Giuliano Martinelli, “based on shared values such as ethics, active participation, and corporate social responsibility. For us, technology is a tool for building relationships and generating change”.
This presence has therefore strengthened Grifal Technologies’ identity as a key player in the world of sustainable packaging, capable of anticipating trends and offering advanced, concrete, and replicable solutions.

Face to face with Giuliano Martinelli, president of Grifal Technologies
At the trade fair, you presented the Cut&Code CC 401 GT model: can you describe the main features of this automatic bench cutter?
“The Cut&Code CC 401 GT is designed to process corrugated materials for Grifal packaging. This compact and easy-to-use machine offers both manual and automatic operation, allowing single or series cuts with programmable lengths. It is equipped with an integrated inkjet marker, ideal for applying codes, dates, or other information directly onto the product. Configuration is quick and intuitive, requires no lubrication, and has low energy consumption. A versatile solution for companies that want to integrate advanced technologies into their production process while ensuring sustainability and efficiency”.
What market needs does this solution address?
“This machine meets a variety of market needs, including: high productivity for environments with high production demands; precision for applications requiring accurate cuts; flexibility to adapt to different types of materials and formats; and safety to ensure a safe working environment”.
Are there any technological or functional aspects that make Cut&Code a distinctive product on the market?
“The Cut&Code CC 401 GT stands out for the integration of an inkjet marker with HP technology, which allows high-resolution printing (300 DPI) of alphanumeric text, QR codes, logos, icons, and patterns directly onto the material. This feature, combined with the ability to make single or serial cuts with programmable lengths, makes the machine suitable for a variety of production needs. The marker, mounted on an optional reel-fed carriage, allows automatic processing, optimizing time and resources”.
Is it designed for use in specific production areas (paper converting, prototyping, logistics, etc.)?
“This type of machine is suitable for all end-of-line applications and can be easily integrated into existing production processes. It is used in numerous sectors, including logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing, furniture, electronics, and many others”.
