In 1976, Luciano Bottoli founded Bimec with a clear purpose: to design and manufacture superior-quality slitter rewinders for a rapidly evolving market. That vision has guided fifty years of decisions and has been carried forward by his children, Elena and Davide, who today lead a company with a global presence, counting over 1,800 installed systems and an extensive network of international agents.
More than any slogan, it is the loyalty of Bimec’s customers — many of whom return years after their first installation — that reflects fifty years of trust. And 2026 is the year in which all of this is celebrated: with a milestone anniversary, a renewed product range, and an invitation to those who have been part of this story.
On September 24th, Bimec will open the doors of its facility to longstanding customers for an Open House Day: an opportunity to reconnect, experience the entire range of slitter rewinders firsthand, and celebrate fifty years of collaboration and mutual trust together.
“Fifty years in business are not a finish line, but confirmation that the path we set out on in 1976 is the right one. We continue down it with the same care and enthusiasm that have always defined us”, say Davide and Elena Bottoli.
And it is precisely in this year of celebrations, following the success of the Futura line, that Bimec launches Essentia, the new line that brings together the TBS, STB 550 and STB 560 models under a unified product family.
The upgrades involve the management software and a significantly expanded list of selectable accessories, allowing each system to be configured according to actual production needs. The result is a range of slitter rewinders that combine an essential configuration with the ability to process all materials typical of flexible packaging, delivering high performance, consistent reliability, and the best balance between production efficiency and investment.
Half a century of experience and a completely renewed range: this is how Bimec begins writing the first chapter of the next fifty years.
