As a powerful pharmaceutical industry partner, the rlc | packaging group is showcasing solutions for serialization, process efficiency and quality management at the Pharmapack trade show from 6 to 7 February.
2019 marks a turning point in the pharmaceutical industry: Directive 2011/62/EU, which requires prescription drug packaging to have a unique serial number, enters into force on 9 February. The rlc | packaging group offers valuable support for meeting the new standards. Booth E2 in hall 7.2 is where the holistic system supplier provides comprehensive information on the new specifications along with solutions to efficiently meet current serialization requirements.
The rlc | packaging group specializes in pre-serialized pharmaceutical packaging. Jürgen Nowak, Sales Director Pharmaceuticals at rlc, explains: “To support pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers in this decisive step, rlc is investing in modern serialization and coding technologies that can be used, for example, to serialize open carton blanks and glued cartons.” These solutions comply with the current legal requirements and include approaches to aggregation and de-aggregation as well as methods to comply with the legally-stipulated tamper evidence guarantee.
Holistic solutions, efficient processes
The rlc | packaging group presentation at Pharmapack also focuses on a comprehensive co-packing service the company provides to support customers beyond the package manufacturing process. In its PHARMACENTER, rlc handles the assembly of folding cartons, leaflets and primary-packed medicines along with distribution in accordance with Section 13 (1) of the German Medicines Act. The company also offers pharma-industry customers in-house quality control.
As a holistic system supplier, rlc helps customers meet today’s logistical challenges. Small batch sizes and short delivery times require more flexible processes within individual companies.
