Scodix trading card experience with a dedicated workshop

7

This hands-on workshop explores the distinct ways Scodix digital embellishments add value to both the high-stakes world of competitive play and the premium collector market. On February 10, Scodix is hosting a first-of-its-kind Trading Cards Workshop at its new Experience Center in Düsseldorf, Germany. The workshop offers practical sessions exploring how it is possible to add value to trading cards with Scodix embellishment. Led by trading card expert and Global Brand Innovation Manager at Scodix, April Lytle, the sessions will dive into specialized applications for each category, followed by a live technical demonstration.

Workshop focus areas:

Competitive play: Learn how to implement durable, tactile effects and variable numbering that enhance security and meet strict regulatory guidelines for tournament use.

Collectible pieces: Discover how to create “chase” card appeal using extreme, one-of-a-kind textures and holographic finishes that drive secondary market value.

Live production: Participate in a hands-on session covering professional file setup and a live press run to see these complex digital enhancements come to life in real-time.

A new place to let your products shine

Last October Scodix has launched its new Experience Centre in Düsseldorf that serves as a permanent European demonstration and innovation facility for customers and partners.

The new creative hub in Germany can give visitors a closer look at the company’s flagship digital enhancement presses in action. Technology on display at the Experience Centre includes the Scodix Ultra 6500 SHD digital enhancement press and the company’s Smart High-Definition (SHD) technology, which allows brands and printers to embellish virtually any design and specialises in fine lines, intricate details, patterns, tiny text, and large surface flat foiling. Also being demonstrated is Scodix Multi-Layer Embellishment, which enables printers to add multiple, highly tactile layers to their designs to deliver unmatched depth and texture in a single pass.

Let’s remember that Scodix offers 17 different applications to print without limits: folding carton converters can deliver highly differentiated premium products with never before-seen designs.
