In 2026, Stampare Srl will celebrate a significant milestone: 25 years of activity<\/strong>. The company has chosen to celebrate this anniversary by looking to the future, installing a Heidelberg EasyMatrix 106 CS die-cutter to strengthen its presence in the packaging market<\/em><\/p>\n

Founded in 2001 by brothers Christian and Denis Abbondanza, Stampare Srl <\/strong>is now a small but dynamic company that, year after year, has built its growth on three fundamental pillars: human relationships with customers, attention to people, and continuous investment in technology. It\u2019s also important to remember that Stampare, besides being the company name chosen by Abbondanza brothers, is also a true family tradition, as their father worked in the industry since the 1970s and passed on his passion for paper and ink to his two sons.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Abbondanza brothers\u2019 journey has led the company to evolve from traditional lithography to a complete cardboard converting company focused on customized packaging, with an organization structured around Industry 4.0 and a strong focus on environmental sustainability, including the recent installation of a photovoltaic system.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

From lithography to packaging: an evolution guided by consultancy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stampare began as a small lithography, at a time of significant transformation in the industry, marked by the transition from traditional offset to digital. The initial decision to invest in a 35x50cm Heidelberg offset press proved to be strategic, allowing the company to tap into a market still not fully dominated by new digital technologies. \u201cIn those years, letterpress industry was undergoing a major revolution. The first small-format digital presses were increasingly appearing in lithograph companies, replacing offset printing, especially in small formats. Our choice went completely against the trend of the time, but I must say that the market rewarded us\u201d,<\/em> begins Christian Abbondanza.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the years, the workforce has grown to the current 10 people, as the machinery and in-house expertise. Today, the company boasts a 5-color Heidelberg CD offset press (72×102 cm)<\/strong> plus a coating tower, a folder-gluer, a saddle stitching machine, a graphic department, prepress, prototyping, and, most recently, die-cutting.<\/p>\n

Stampare\u2019s distinctive feature is its consultative approach: customers don\u2019t purchase standard products but are supported in the development of customized solutions. \u201cOur customers physically come to us with their product\u201d<\/em>, explains Christian Abbondanza, \u201cand together we create the most suitable packaging. This is what differentiates us from large, standardized productions\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

In recent years, the company has gradually shifted its focus toward packaging, now Stampare\u2019s core business.<\/strong> This decision, made in 2017, has proven successful, given that packaging represents one of the most dynamic and resilient segments of the graphics market.
\nStampare primarily operates in customized productions, with medium volumes and high added value, addressing diverse sectors without being tied to a single niche. This allows flexibility and creativity even in sectors such as food, and ongoing dialogue with the customer, central elements to the company\u2019s philosophy.<\/p>\n

Why in-house die-cut and the choice of Heidelberg<\/strong><\/p>\n

The addition of Heidelberg EasyMatrix 106 CS<\/strong> responds to a specific need: completing the production cycle in-house. Previously, die-cutting was outsourced to external suppliers, a solution that has become increasingly unsustainable over time, especially given the growth in cardboard converting jobs and daily demands.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving the product enter and exit as finished from our company\u201d,<\/em> Abbondanza<\/strong> emphasizes, \u201cmeans greater control, higher quality, and greater safety, especially when working for regulated sectors like food\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

The choice of Heidelberg fell not only for the quality of the machine, but also for the partnership built over more than twenty years.
\n\u201cSince 2001, we have consistently invested in Heidelberg technology, and knowing we have a serious and competent partner makes all the difference when making major investments\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

The new EasyMatrix 106 CS: commissioning, training, and new in-house skills<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"The EasyMatrix 106 CS installed at Stampare is a 74×104 format die-cutting machine, equipped with an extraction section, <\/strong>with a speed of up to 7,700 sheets\/hour. The \u201craised\u201d configuration allows for processing not only folding carton, but also thicker materials such as corrugated cardboard, opening up new applications.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cStampare\u2019s EasyMatrix 106 CS is fully automatic and equipped with Industry 4.0 integration options. It allows for precise process control and high-quality repeatability, even for operators without specific experience. It is ideal for those starting out in-house die-cutting\u201d,<\/em> says Lorenzo Ariberti, Postpress Manager at Heidelberg.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the most interesting aspects of the project was the approach to training. Stampare deliberately chose to entrust the machine to an internal employee with no previous die-cutting experience, supported by Heidelberg technical support.
\n\u201cWe decided to train an internal employee, who is already working in the company\u201d,<\/em> explains Abbondanza, \u201cand thanks to the qualified personnel that Heidelberg provided us, the learning process was extremely fast and accurate. Today, the machine is operational and productive, demonstrating how technology, when well-designed, can facilitate learning\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Digitization and Industry 4.0 and 5.0: data as a strategic compass<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Stampare is organized according to a highly digitalized logic, with integrated management software that connects estimating, production, time collection, and administration. This level of organization is not granted for a company with ten employees.<\/p>\n

\u201cData are fundamental today\u201d,<\/em> says Abbondanza, \u201cbecause it allows entrepreneurs to make informed choices. Not to reduce staff, but to give value to people, shifting people to higher value-added activities. Furthermore, data can be used to increase efficiency and improve productivity, freeing up more resources to reinvest in the company\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

The new die-cutter fits perfectly into this digital ecosystem, making data collection a concrete tool for efficiency and productivity. \u201c2025 closed with growth of around 5%, a positive result for a microbusiness in a complex environment.<\/em>For 2026, we want to consolidate what we\u2019ve achieved and bring the latest investment to full capacity. However, we have new projects in the pipeline aimed at further improving our production efficiency and customer service, and we\u2019ll be in touch later with an update. But 2026 is the year in which we must deliver the results we\u2019ve invested in\u201d,<\/em> concludes Christian.<\/p>\n
