Adjusted EBITDA improved significantly to \u20ac20 million, with a 4.4% margin (compared to \u2013\u20ac9 million and \u20132.3% in Q1 of the previous year), thanks to higher volumes, better production utilization, and cost-cutting measures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-92563\" src=\"https:\/\/www.converter.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/HEIDELBERG_Steuerungs-_und_Leistungselektronik.jpg\" alt=\"HEIDELBERG\" width=\"567\" height=\"378\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.converter.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/HEIDELBERG_Steuerungs-_und_Leistungselektronik.jpg 567w, https:\/\/www.converter.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/HEIDELBERG_Steuerungs-_und_Leistungselektronik-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 567px) 100vw, 567px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThanks to our global market position and an improved cost basis, we have made a good start to the new financial year,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>J\u00fcrgen Otto, CEO of HEIDELBERG.<\/strong> <em>\u201cStrategic measures in our core business, together with new options in the Technology segment and our move into the defense sector, give us cause to feel very confident about the prospects for the year as a whole.\u201d<\/em> he added.<\/p>\n<p>While free cash flow remained negative at \u2013\u20ac68 million, it showed notable improvement versus the \u2013\u20ac103 million of the prior year. Net loss was reduced to \u2013\u20ac11 million (from \u2013\u20ac42 million), and incoming orders totaling \u20ac559 million provided a solid business foundation, also supported by HEIDELBERG\u2019s strong presence at China Print.<\/p>\n<p>As of April 1, 2025, HEIDELBERG has reorganized its structure into three segments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Print &amp; Packaging Equipment<\/strong> (offset\/flexo, pre\/postpress),<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital Solutions &amp; Lifecycle<\/strong> (software, services, consumables, digital printing),<\/li>\n<li><strong>HEIDELBERG Technology<\/strong> (e-mobility and industrial solutions beyond core business).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Q1, Print &amp; Packaging sales rose 42% to \u20ac211 million, while the other segments remained stable. Adjusted EBITDA improved across all areas. Packaging remains a key growth driver, reaffirming HEIDELBERG\u2019s strategy to expand as a system integrator, as demonstrated by the acquisition of Polar Mohr brand and technologies.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-92565\" src=\"https:\/\/www.converter.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/HEIDELBERG_Zusammenspiel_Mechanik_Elektrik_Elektronik_und_Software-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.converter.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/HEIDELBERG_Zusammenspiel_Mechanik_Elektrik_Elektronik_und_Software-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.converter.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/HEIDELBERG_Zusammenspiel_Mechanik_Elektrik_Elektronik_und_Software-280x420.jpg 280w, https:\/\/www.converter.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/HEIDELBERG_Zusammenspiel_Mechanik_Elektrik_Elektronik_und_Software.jpg 378w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>HEIDELBERG also announced its entry into the defense sector through a system partnership with <strong>VINCORION<\/strong>, aimed at producing power control and distribution systems, strengthening its diversification strategy.<\/p>\n<p>The company has <strong>confirmed its full-year outlook<\/strong>, forecasting FY 2025\/26 sales around \u20ac2.35 billion (vs \u20ac2.28 billion in 2024\/25), with an adjusted EBITDA margin of up to 8% (previous year: 7.1%).<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cPackaging printing remained a growth driver for our business in the first quarter,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>David Schmedding, Chief Technology &amp; Sales Officer at HEIDELBERG.<\/strong> <em>\u201cThis development reaffirms our growth strategy \u2013 the continuous and targeted expansion of our portfolio as a systems integrator for this key market segment.
