The Packaging Europe<\/strong> expert jury has announced that the solution proposed by Taghleef Industries and Gerosa Group<\/a> of a BOPP High barrier 4-side sealed sachet has won the Recyclable Packaging Category for the Pre-Commercialized Innovations.<\/p>\n

\"\"The packaging solution proposed aims to replace multi-material structures made of PET\/Alu\/PE or PET\/metPET\/PE in applications such as dry powder products or dressing sauces. The innovative structure has important advantages in terms of recyclability and unit weight reduction, providing good performances in terms of product protection, thanks to the use of EXTENDO\u00ae XZMX<\/strong> along with a final PP-based design that offers excellent performing sealing properties and tear propagation for convenient packaging opening. The PP based structure is designed to meet Minimum Recyclability Criteria which is part of the German Packaging Law VerpackG (Verpackungsgesetz \u2013 Packaging Act).<\/p>\n

This innovation was selected among the Pre-Commercialized<\/strong> proposals, which include solutions covering the most important areas of emerging innovations entering the market in the years to come. In fact, Taghleef and Gerosa\u2019s project is expected to be launched in 2023 at the end of the validation program in cooperation with some selected customers.<\/p>\n

The awareness that the value of raw materials should be preserved for as long as possible is demanding a new responsibility at the manufacturing level. Products should be made to last longer, be reused or, when not possible, be recycled so that they become valuable secondary materials for new products.<\/p>\n

Taghleef Industries is supporting the preservation of material through a portfolio that allows the reDESIGN\u2122<\/strong> of traditional multi-material structures which would not fit the recyclability requirements as part of the services offered through its Dynamic Cycle\u2122 approach.<\/p>\n

Dynamic Cycle<\/strong> is Ti’s set of initiatives aimed to address sustainability issues within and for its stakeholders, with the goal of contributing to the quality of life for generations to come.
