The partnership includes the installation of SOMA equipment, including the Optima<sup>2<\/sup> printing press at MacDermid&#8217;s global headquarters in Atlanta, GA, USA.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-37507\" src=\"https:\/\/www.converter.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/SOMA-Optima-2-_new_render.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"567\" height=\"326\" \/><\/p>\n<p>MacDermid and SOMA are both focused on customer support and innovation to advance flexo in the packaging printing industry. This partnership expands both companies\u2019 histories of collaboration with flexo focused partners to drive product development and application solutions. Together, this partnership will transform MacDermid\u2019s headquarters into a one-of-a-kind, global innovation center designed to help the flexo and packaging industries explore innovative solutions.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Leigh Carpenter, Marketing Manager for MacDermid Graphics Solutions, says,<\/strong><\/em> &#8220;MacDermid is thrilled to work with SOMA. Our innovative products and systems combined with SOMA&#8217;s world-class press technology allow us to expand our sales and service capabilities to better serve our customers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>MacDermid&#8217;s current innovation center in Atlanta includes a full suite of the latest prepress software, plate and print analysis technologies, thermal and solvent platemaking systems, and liquid photopolymer platemaking equipment. SOMA\u2019s installation will include the Optima\u00b2, SOMA\u2019s next generation flexo press with new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.converter.it\/en\/soma-extends-launch-of-its-intelligent-automation-features-with-a-new-change-over-wizard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Intelligent Automation<\/a> features. With the addition of SOMA&#8217;s equipment in MacDermid\u2019s global headquarters in Atlanta, the center will expand customer support to product benchmarking, print trials, hands-on press training, print application research, and print troubleshooting.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our current innovation center is outstanding for pre-press and platemaking; however, with the addition of SOMA and their Optima<sup>2<\/sup> printing press, we will offer a truly unique customer experience,&#8221; <em><strong>states Brad Wills, Global Senior Vice President for MacDermid Graphics Solutions. <\/strong><\/em>Brad continues, &#8220;This enhanced center will be designed for the global flexo and packaging industries to collaborate on innovations, optimize processes, and create new standards for flexo excellence.
