As planned, he takes over from Christoph M\u00fcller, who moves to the company&#8217;s supervisory board as chairman. \u201cPeter Lechner has many years of experience in the field of flexible packaging. He will continue on the positive path of Flexotecnica and achieve our ambitious goals,\u201d says Christoph M\u00fcller, Flexotecnica supervisory board chairman and member of the executive board at Koenig &amp; Bauer. Peter Lechner previously held leading positions at companies in Germany, the USA and the Czech Republic. In the coming years Flexotecnica will focus on making the best possible use of Koenig &amp; Bauer&#8217;s strong service and sales network and even expanding its flexible packaging activities. The cooperation between the various business units at Koenig &amp; Bauer has already proved its worth. Peter Lechner, CEO at Koenig &amp; Bauer Flexotecnica: \u201cOur order books are full. This year a raft of presses we have sold will go into operation worldwide. A new press is to be introduced to the market by the end of this year. \u201cI think we have a very strong team at Flexotecnica. The goal is, of course, to use these prerequisites in order to be able to implement the planned growth in the market,\u201d says Lechner. Flexo printing is growing at an average rate of four to five percent worldwide, and in some regions even faster.
