NEW ENSOCOAT BY STORA ENSO FOR FIRST-RATE PACKAGING
The material is produced according to a new formulation which provides better white shades, brightness, smooth surfaces and exceptional graphic results, both on the white side and reverse. New Ensocoat has a versatile surface which makes it suitable for various finishing systems and, therefore, it is supposed to be employed by important brand owners to meet their most demanding requirements.
“New Ensocoat results from our efforts and dedication to the development of first-rate packaging for cosmetics, perfumes as well as chocolate, wine and spirits”, says Hervé Vue, Sales Manager at Stora Enso Cardboard France. “In this difficult economic situation, big brand owners tend to consider alternative options, so we have tries our best to cope with this trend by developing new Ensocoat. We are satisfied with the results, and we are glad to launch this product on the market”.
The idea to develop Ensocoat materialized at the beginning of 2009. “We carried out several trials with the non-stop machine by Cartiera di Imatra in order to achieve the board edge level required, as well as to reach high quality consistency with each lot. Along with pilot productions, we carried out printing trials in close collaboration with outstanding packaging converters, and we obtained excellent outcomes and positive comments from our customers”, says Ari Tanninen, Product Manager at Stora Enso Carton Board in Finland.
The project was focused both on the visual aspect of board and on its performance as a packaging material. Optical features have been improved starting from white shades up to brightness, and a new shade tending to blue has been created. New Ensocoat ensures the best smoothness and white shade currently existing on the marketplace.
Besides improving quality, Stora Enso is widening their product portfolio by adding Ensocoat 2S, which will replace Ensogloss. “Ensocoat 2S has the same advantages as new Ensocoat, but the difference is that these benefits are on both sides”, continues Hervé Vue.
The launch of these new products is sponsored by an important marketing campaign. “A new logotype for Ensocoat will be introduced, and its images have been carried out by the famous photographer Andrea Klarin. All those who may be interested in designs and products of brand, should visit the web site www.storaenso.com/ensocoat”, concludes Hervé Vue.
