FROM FUJIFILM EUROPE NEW VARNISHES FOR FOOD PACKAGING PRINTING
FUJIFILM Europe presented a new range of low migration varnishes for food packaging, complying with the European regulations (EG) 1935/2004.
According to this regulation, whoever produces food packaging, ought to ensure that the latter meets certain standards in order to avoid the migration of any chemical agent from the package to the food. The printers of this type of packaging have to face considerable changes inside their sector, which involves more responsibility and difficulties for them. They have to cope with all the demands required by the regulations in force. With the launch of this new varnish line and thanks to their deep knowledge of the sector, Fujifilm can help printers ensure packaging quality and provide final end-users with standardized, suitable and safe products.
“We are really proud of working in close collaboration with our customers in order to recommend the best product to them being used for special applications. Many customers of the sector are still quite confused and sometimes they don’t know well how they should change their printing processes. We can give any information and advice, and we are in a position to encourage printers and buyers to discuss their uncertainties, as well as to update them about the regulations, they have to follow”, said Dieter Zang, Technical Manager Graphic Arts Chemicals at FUJIFILM Europe.
Fujifilm has been operating for many years in the development of chemical products for printing. They supply a wide range of solutions for this industry, including bath additives, varnishes, washing means and glues. All solutions enable customers to achieve the best results with their machines, despite their use.
